| GBATools 0.2.0 Beta: a freeware open source sprite editor for Gameboy Advance |
 | Simple sprite editor, supports 16 and 256 colour sprites, imports jpg and bmp's. load and save work,
and can export as C and H files.
it's been over 8 months since 0.1.9, and I recieved no complaints that it was full of bugs
so either, there's not a lot of users, or your all fixing the source and not giving it back to each other.

Improvements over 0.1.8 beta and 0.1.9
- Sprite structure bug fixes
- size and shape where transposed, but as I don't use then any more I never noticed!
- a couple of right click menus
- you can now copy the sprite data from a smaller sprite to a same size or larger sprite by right click menu on the select screen.
- you perfrom a H or V flip on a sprite by right click outside the edit area. (this does not set H/V flip bits in the sprite, it changes the tile data)
- Oddities (from 0.1.9)
- Project files always saved in new format (1.0.9 compatable), and old 0.1.6/8 format can be loaded but only the sprite data/tiles change, this means you can load tiles that where edited as sprites into the app, transer to tiles, then load the sprite tiles.
Specials menu can move tile/sprite data/palettes.
Specials menu can change the tiles per line to allow importing areas (not the most user friendly interface!
Export filenames are a little less configurable :(
Bugs
- if you find any please email

I hope this version is far more stable than 0.1.9 and better features than 0.1.8

| Tested on: | - Win2000 800Mhz AMD duron 512Mb
| | Known Problems: | - only sprite editing in 2d mode supported, no export as bitmap
- still no map editor (Yet)
- no manual or help file (Yet)
- not optimised, (who has a PC that's slower than 500Mhz? (I have one but it running FreeBSD!)

   | GbATools the future |
As every life never deals you the hand you want!, I have about four versions of the future app that will replace this, one MFC, one WFC, one using my own Win32 Gui lib (compiles under MSVC++, mingw and digital mars C) and one in D, each has feature I want to implement, and about five pages of docs on the features, formats and stuff.
but gfx2gba has proved to be more useful, but I've never tracked a product home page. and it's not open source so no hacking the output format to suit your needs.
| if you believe in open source, and want your say in how I develop the tools I currently have on my PC (both GUI and command line) then send five bucks to my "I don't want a real job" fund and I'll be more than willing to help.
